Associate Scientist, Autoimmunity

Our Autoimmunity team is seeking an Associate Scientist at our Cambridge, MA site.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Carry out in vitro assays for the characterization of leukocyte-modulating drugs for the treatment of autoimmune disease
  • Assist with the development and implementation of in vivo autoimmune disease models for the assessment of the therapeutic efficacy of drug candidates
  • Provide creative contributions to assay development to expand the technical capabilities of the Autoimmunity program
  • Cure autoimmune disease. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive practical experience with immune cell isolation and culture, including maintenance of cell lines, purification of leukocyte subsets from blood and tissues, and differentiation of immune cells in vitro
  • Experience with in vivo model systems, with an emphasis on the use of the laboratory mouse for immunology research
  • Familiarity with standard experimental methodologies for cellular immunology, including flow cytometry, mRNA/protein expression, and functional assays (e.g. cytotoxicity, suppression, etc.)
  • Prior experience with mouse models of autoimmune disease preferred

Basic Qualifications:

  • M.S. or B.S. with relevant scientific experience
