Our Translational Immunology group is seeking a unique Postdoctoral Fellow in Preclinical Immuno-Oncology at our Cambridge, MA site.
The successful candidate will design and execute experiments to identify the cellular and molecular determinants of sensitivity/resistance to cancer immunotherapy in mouse tumor models. This position will require extensive in vivo tumor model work, with deep ex vivo characterization of tumor-infiltrating leukocytes, cancer cells, and stromal cells using a wide variety of techniques (gene profiling, flow cytometry, multiplex cytokine/chemokine profiling, immunohistochemistry, etc.).
Based on their findings, the incumbent will form biomarker hypotheses for indication selection and patient stratification in the clinic. This will involve interrogating the translatability of mouse data to humans through the analysis of candidate biomarker expression using publicly available gene expression databases and from the hands-on study of human primary tumor tissues and blood.
In this high-impact role, the incumbent will have the opportunity to elucidate the mechanism of action for a wide-range of therapeutic strategies, including novel immuno-oncology combinations, and to propose data-driven ideas for novel therapeutic concepts, combinations, and drug discovery programs.
